About Make My QR Codes

Make My QR Codes is a small, free QR code service run by one person in Maryland, USA. It's for restaurants, shops, makers, event organizers and anyone else who prints QR codes.

Why it exists

Plenty of QR code websites give you a "free" code, then switch it off when a trial ends unless you pay, and every code already printed on menus, packaging and signs stops working. This site started in 2026, when a friend sending out business cards to bring people to her website found that the QR code generators she tried were expensive. Its maker has worked in tech for over a decade, built her a better option, and opened it to everyone. Codes made here aren't switched off for being free.

How it's paid for

Wi-Fi, text, email, call and text-message codes are always free, and so is your first changeable code. Plans of 5 more changeable codes for $11.99 a year pay for the server and the web address. If a plan ends, your codes keep working. See pricing.

How your codes are kept working

• The web address, makemyqrcodes.com, renews automatically, because every printed code depends on it.
• Short links are never reused. A deleted code's link stays retired, so it can never send people somewhere else.
• Links are checked when they're saved, and any code can be reported.
• We count scans without storing anyone's IP address or setting cookies on the people who scan. See the privacy page.
